We’re delighted to be hosting the first Annual General Meeting of the UK Community for Research Software Engineers on September 15th at the Ortus Learning Centre.
The RSE community was founded to support the people who develop software used in research in the UK. Back in March 2012, they began raising awareness of the research community’s reliance on RSEs. In the last year, they have made excellent progress in gaining recognition for RSEs. In the coming year, they plan to continue this work, and attract more people to the community so that they have the weight of numbers to gain better appreciation, support and career development for this vital role.
If you would like to be a part of the community, come along to the AGM. We welcome both software engineers who are moving into research and researchers who are developing their own tools.
The event is free, thanks to our sponsors at MaudsleyDigital, but we have limited space, so please make sure you register.
